Finish Carpenter LLC completed a custom home office built-in project in Watkins, Denver, blending modern functionality with rustic charm. The client wanted a workspace that combined storage, style, and durability while creating an inviting atmosphere.
The project featured a custom wall-to-wall workstation crafted from stained oak, chosen for its natural grain and warmth. The oak was carefully treated with wood stain and finished with a clear protective lacquer, ensuring both durability and elegance. Painted plywood cabinetry and drawers were integrated beneath the desk, providing concealed storage for office essentials. Shaker-style fronts added a modern touch, balancing clean lines with traditional carpentry details.
Above the workstation, floating-style open shelves were installed, framed in painted plywood for strength and contrast. These shelves provide practical space for books, décor, and daily-use items, while maintaining a cohesive design flow with the cabinetry. The back wall was finished with vertical oak planks, stained to highlight their rustic texture, creating a natural focal point within the office.
All finishing details, from seamless joinery to integrated outlets, were executed with precision. The result is a home office space that feels warm, professional, and highly functional.
